Becoming at Home in God's Love

As we begin a new year, we often focus on resolutions, but real, lasting change comes through formation. In this message, we’re invited to consider where we are making our home. Scripture reminds us that before we strive, achieve, or improve, we are first loved by God. His love is not something we earn; it is the foundation of our identity and the starting point of all transformation.

Drawing from Ephesians 3 and John 15, this sermon calls us to make God’s love our “home base”—the place where we rest, find security, and are shaped from the inside out. When we stop running toward substitutes like success, approval, control, or shame and remain in Jesus’ love, we are formed into the people God created us to be. As a church, everything we are becoming begins here: rooted and resting in the love of Christ.
