Because He Lives...We Live Holy Lives

Because Jesus is alive, we’re not meant to stay the same—we’re called to live holy lives.

Holiness isn’t about perfection or rule-keeping. It means being set apart, becoming more like our Father in the way we think, live, and love.

Peter shows us that this kind of life starts in the mind. We’re called to be alert, focused, and anchored in hope, setting our minds fully on Jesus and the future He’s promised. From there, holiness takes shape in our actions: saying no to sin and yes to God, not out of obligation, but out of relationship.

This transformation is rooted in our identity. We are God’s children, and we are becoming like Him.

And it’s fueled by two powerful motivations:

A deep reverence for God, knowing we will stand before Him

A profound awareness of the cost of our redemption—the precious blood of Jesus

We don’t pursue holiness to earn God’s love; we pursue it because of His love.

And ultimately, God calls us to holiness not just because it honors Him, but because it leads to true life. Sin promises life but leads to destruction. Holiness may feel costly, but it leads to freedom, wholeness, and flourishing.

Because He lives…you don’t have to stay the same.

Because He lives…you can live a holy life.
